Use 8 columns and 9 rows. Each cell is one frame. For the current sample package, each frame is 192 by 208 pixels.
Animation reference
spritesheet.webp for Codex pets
spritesheet.webp is the animation file. The preview uses one row at a time and steps through the 8 frames in that row.
Animation rows
Rows map to states such as idle, running, waiting, failed, and review. Keep each row to one action. Otherwise the preview looks like the sheet is sliding.
Export format
Export WebP with a transparent or clean background when possible. Name the file spritesheet.webp so it matches pet.json.
Publish your pet
Put your pet on a page people can use.
Upload pet.json and spritesheet.webp together. The page shows the preview, file links, package download, creator name, and related pets.
